WEDNESDAY, April 21Married at First Sight: UnmatchablesWhat happened to all the singles who didn’t get chosen and missed out of the opportunity to wed a stranger on Married at First Sight? Well, from that pitiful “pool” of some 65,000 applicants, the producers went back to a handful and picked some for this new show, which gives them relationship advice, suggestions about lifestyle changes, and perhaps a second chance at lasting love—or something like it (10 p.m., Lifetime). Pillow TalkTuck in with this Oscar-winning 1959 romantic comedy starring Doris Day and Rock Hudson, about a playboy bachelor and an interior decorator who share the same telephone line in New York City. The film, considered quite risque for the buttoned-up times, transformed Day from the “girl next door” into a classy, sophicasticated sex symbol and marked the first of her three successful comedy collaborations of Hudson, who’d become her lifelong friend until the end, when he became the first major celebrity to die of AIDS in 1985 (10 p.m., TCM).
