What is Discovery Plus?
The streamer is described as “the definitive non-fiction, real-life subscription streaming service.” Every discovery+ account will include up to five user profiles. More than two people want to stream at the same time? No problem! discovery+ allows four concurrent streams, which according to Discovery is “among the most offered in the streaming video category.”
How much does Discovery Plus cost?
You can pick from two pricing plans. The ad-supported option costs $4.99 per month. If you prefer to stream without interruptions, then there is an ad-free version available for $6.99 per month. As part of a “landmark partnership” between Verizon and Discovery, Verizon customers will receive up to 12 months of discovery+ on select plans.

The U.S. launch will feature more than 55,000 episodes from Discovery’s brands, including HGTV, Food Network, TLC, ID, OWN, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and Animal Planet, in addition to the BBC’s Natural History collection, A&E Networks, Group Nine (i.e. The Dodo, NowThis and Thrillist) and a preview of Chip and Joanna’s highly anticipated Magnolia Network, which is set to launch in 2021. discovery+ “will bring together for the first time the top non-fiction content from A&E, The HISTORY Channel and Lifetime with the Discovery brand portfolio.” Per Discovery, more than 1,500 episodes of content from A&E Networks will include The First 48, Bring It, Dance Moms, Ice Road Truckers, Pawn Stars, Ancient Aliens, Storage Wars, 60 Days In, Intervention and Ghost Hunters.
