What is Roadhouse Romance about?
In Roadhouse Romance, Lt. Callie Jackson (Lauren Alaina) return home from her tour of duty and must come to terms with everything that’s changed while she was away, especially at her family’s iconic BBQ establishment, Tucker’s Roadhouse. She is determined to continue her late grandfather’s legacy at the roadhouse, which has always been a destination for great food and discovering new country music talent. Callie steps up to help her mother and aunt prepare for the fall festival at Tucker’s Roadhouse, which also means searching for her late grandfather’s special barbecue sauce recipe which was lost while she was away. After a chance run-in with TV director Luke (Tyler Hynes), who is passing through town, he helps Callie determine what is worth hanging on to and when it’s time to let go. Who’s in the cast of Roadhouse Romance?
Lauren Alaina (Lieutenant Callie Jackson)
In 2011, Lauren Alaina was the runner-up in the tenth season of American Idol. That same year, her first studio album, Wildflower, was released. Her third album, Sitting Pretty on Top of the World came out Sept. 3. You’ll hear her singing two songs from the new album during the premiere on Saturday night. This is just Alaina’s second non-reality film/TV project to date. Her first foray into film was 2017’s made-for-TV movie, The Road Less Traveled, also the name of her second studio album.
Tyler Hynes (Luke Ellis)
Tyler Hynes quickly became a fan favorite in 2018 when he starred in his first Hallmark Channel film, Falling For You opposite Taylor Cole. He has since starred in last year’s 12th Date of Christmas and It Was Always You opposite When Calls the Heart’s Erin Krakow earlier this year. He has also had multi-episode arcs on Saving Hope, Warehouse 13, UnREAL and Letterkenny.
Is Lauren Alaina a real singer?
She sure is! Alaina got her start singing and performing as kid and was the runner-up in the tenth season of American Idol.
Does Lauren Alaina sing in Roadhouse Romance?
You bet! Alaina will sing her popular songs “Run” and “What Do You Think Of,” both of which appear on her new album, Sitting Pretty on Top of the World. She also sings a cover of Keith Whitley’s “When You Say Nothing at All,” the first song she performed at Tootsies in Nashville when she was just 12 years old.
