Steven Bauer will guest star as Miguel Torres, who encounters his son when Nick is on a case. DNA evidence found at the scene of the stabbing of a Marine Sergeant is a match for Nick and leads him to be reintroduced to his father. It will also give viewers a chance to learn more about Nick’s past, which up to now he has managed to keep pretty much private. Bauer is known for playing dark characters, so it will be interesting to find out just what he is mixed up in that his DNA was found at a crime scene. Prior to joining the NCIS team in D.C., Torres worked undercover, so he spent years as a lone operator, keeping secrets. We first met him in the Season 14 “Rogue” episode, which also featured Nick’s sister. Older sis is Lucia Campbell (Pilar Holland), a major in the United States Marine Corps, the wife of deceased Navy Commander George Campbell and the mother of Amanda Campbell. Also, in the “Sangre” episode, Pam Dawber will return in her role as journalist Marcie Warren, who spoke to Special Agent Leroy Gibbs (Mark Harmon) to get the truth about why he was suspended, and published the story, which is where the last episode ended. As a result of the story, Gibbs is in even more hot water than previously, so much so that Director Vance (Rocky Carroll) told him he couldn’t do anything to save him. But maybe the truth will. After all, Gibbs was suspended for attacking a man, but the man that he attacked was an animal abuser, who beat and drowned dogs that lost fights and cost him money gambling on dog fights. What jury would find him guilty for that? Next, find out if NCIS is ending this season.
