The 2022 Emmy nominations were announced via livestream on July 12. Selena Gomez became the second Latina since Salma Hayek in 2007 to be nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series as a producer on Only Murders in the Building. Zendaya and Squid Game shattered records as the actress is the youngest producing nominee and the South Korean series is the first non-English language series to be Emmy nominated for Outstanding Drama.
