After Asta shot Tanner Corrington (Robert Maloney), the Galvan/Powell Group thug who was about to kill Harry and one of the names on Dr. Hodges’ list, D’Arcy (Alice Wetterlund) stumbled onto the crime scene. With Sheriff Mike (Corey Reynolds) following the sound of the gunshots, the three quickly cover and make excuses for why they are out in the woods in the middle of the night, post-Harry’s birthday party. After the sheriff leaves, D’Arcy quickly devises a plan to get rid of the body and any evidence of the crime. When Asta asks Harry if he’s OK, he replies, “Are you?” knowing she’s in distress over taking a human life. It’s clear Harry cares about his friend, even if he doesn’t always show it. Devastated that she shot a man, even if it was to save another, Asta falls into a deep depression. Harry, who can feel her pain and distress decides to erase her memories from that night, but is it more for his benefit of hers? By doing so he inadvertently erases other memories of that night that she should not have forgotten, including a birthday lunch date with her biological daughter, Jay (Kaylayla Raine). In this week’s episode, “The Ghost of Bobby Smallwood,” we find out if Asta’s relationship with Jay is destroyed after she forgets their lunch date to celebrate Jay’s birthday. Harry is dealing with his own roller coaster of emotions as he grapples with the feelings of fear and anxiety after his close call with death at the hands of Tanner Corrington. As he seemingly becomes more human, he begins to deal with it much like humans do—by eating his feelings. Asta helps him cope with his newfound fears. Ben (Levi Fiehler) and Kate (Meredith Garretson) deal with their lack of communication that is putting their marriage in a precarious state. Sheriff Mike and the Jessup police detective, Lena Torres (Nicola Correia-Damude) continue their dance over which city should be in charge of the murder investigation, testing the boundaries of Deputy Liv’s (Elizabeth Bowen) comfort zone. Meanwhile, the baby alien is on the loose. Who will come across him first? In this Parade.com exclusive sneak peek of “The Ghost of Bobby Smallwood” episode, Mayor Ben has some news for Sheriff Mike.
