There’s a lot to unpack from last week’s episode, so let’s get cracking! In last week’s penultimate episode, Harry (Alan Tudyk) rescued his offspring from the secret government location that at one time held both Dr. Ethan (Michael Cassidy) as well as Peter Bach’s son, Robert (Paul Piaskowski). It was also the apparent place of employment of the Gray alien assassin, Joseph (Enver Gjokaj). Before they put their differences aside and teamed up to storm the castle (or in this case, the government bunker), Harry was putting the screws to Peter (Terry O’Quinn). Who could relate to Harry’s form of torture—“I’m not touching you! I’m not touching you!”? If you have siblings you likely were the target of such torture or the one doling it out. After sacrificing his own life for that of his son, Peter asks Harry to look after Robert with his last breath. It appeared Mayor Ben’s (Levi Fiehler) sleepwalking issues were due to his stress over the resort and overall desire to make sure everyone likes him but now that he’s dropped the idea of the resort coming to town and now knows the town loves him (as we saw their concern after his accident), will it be the last of his sleepwalking? Before we finally saw Robert, did anyone think that Ben might be Peter’s abducted son? Or perhaps had he been abducted himself when he was a child? In the season finale of Resident Alien, “I Believe in Aliens,” Harry tries out different names for his offspring. He later comes face to face with his greatest enemy and makes a big decision that may affect Earth forever. In this Parade.com exclusive clip below, Jay (Kaylayla Raine) seeks out Asta (Sara Tomko) to ask a favor and we learn D’Arcy (Alice Wetterlund) has a nickname. During the down time between this season and the next, check out “Music for the Screen Vol. 2” by Shie Rozow who served as the music editor for the pilot episode of Resident Alien. The album is filled with tracks inspired by the show. “I thought the show was really unique and quirky, which inspired me to write my own take on its fun score,” said Rozow. The album is available to stream on all major music streaming platforms. If you’re hoping season 3 of Resident Alien will premiere soon, you’ll have to have some patience (the capacity to accept, not the town where Harry lives). Chris Sheridan is working on the stories for season 3. If they begin production on season 3 in January 2023 as planned, we likely won’t see the season 3 premiere until mid-to-late summer at the earliest. Check back with Parade.com for updates! The season 2 finale of Resident Alien airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET on SYFY and is available on the SYFY app the next day.
