In fact, Sonic has something special for fans of churros—a new Churro Shake made with vanilla ice cream, caramel, and cinnamon sugar. The new menu item, which comes topped with whipped cream, a cherry, and of course, a cinnamon sugar churro, will only be available for a limited time. Mackenzie Gibson, Vice President of Culinary & Menu Innovation at SONIC, said of the Churro Shake in a press release, “SONIC is known for the wide variety of flavors and mix-in options for our drinks and shakes, so infusing the churro experience into a shake was something we knew our fans would love.” She continued, “Our Churro Shake is truly a churro you can sip and dip, from the cinnamon sugar sprinkled into the shake to the churro on top, creating a flavorful experience that will have your taste buds dancing until the last drop!” The Churro Shake will be available at participating locations from Aug. 1 to Sept. 25, but if you use the Sonic app, you can buy the tasty treat early, starting on July 25. If you are still craving Sonic’s classic churros, you can get them for $1.49 on the app’s Summer Snacking Menu, which will also offer a chocolate waffle cone with vanilla ice cream and the FRITO’S Chili Cheese Jr. Wrap throughout August. Sonic’s other limited edition drink option is Bursting Bubbles beverages, or drinks including the restaurant’s cherry-flavored version of popping boba, which Brand Eating describes as “liquid-filled edible spheres with a thin, gel-like skin.” Sonic Bursting Bubbles made their debut at Sonic last summer and are making a limited return to the menu, so you better head on over soon!
