Alexis Maloney and Hunter Parr actually left The Ultimatum early because he proposed! Alexis’ co-stars helped celebrate her bachelorette party in Episode 7. She wrote on Instagram after the show aired, “Coming into this experience and having to break up with the person I wanted to marry off the bat was beyond difficult. I faced new experiences, new challenges every day without being able to go to my best friend, Hunter, for love and support. The days were long, but I ended up meeting some amazing people who had to be extremely vulnerable about their relationships. Radiating positive vibes to the entire cast as they all have so much love to give.” Are Alexis and Hunter still together? They are! In an Instagram photo from July 2021, Alexis and Hunter are pictured kissing on the beach with the caption, “tying the knot is hot.” Alexis told TODAYthat they moved in together shortly after filming wrapped. The Ultimatum Spoilers: Are April and Jake still together?
April Marie and Jake Cunningham had one of the most dramatic relationships on The Ultimatum, largely because Jake had such great chemistry with Rae Williams. There was also the lingering question: Was April pregnant during The Ultimatum? The answer ended up being no, but that level of drama is hard to get past, and Jake’s connection with Rae only further drove home his lack of willingness to necessarily settle down right away. There’s also the military aspect to their relationship: After taking orders in the Army and Marine Corps, Jake simply wanted to enjoy his freedom and get financially stable before tying the knot, something for which April wasn’t necessarily happy to wait around. That said, April desperately wanted to work things out with Jake, but even she admitted that he and Rae were cute together. Are April and Jake still together? During the finale, Jake broke things off for good with April — and presented Rae with two tickets to travel the world with him, which she happily accepted, and they left hand-in-hand together! However, it looks like everyone involved may be back on the market not: Both April and Jake’s Facebook pages indicate that they’re single, and Women’s Health reported that another woman not connected with The Ultimatum used Venmo to pay Jake for rent (though it could easily be a platonic roomie or just someone subletting his place). The Ultimatum Spoilers: Are Madlyn and Colby still together?
Madlyn Ballatori and Colby Kissinger, who look exactly how you would expect, had issues with communication. During their dinner date in Episode 8, Colby and Madlyn made it clear they wanted to leave together, but she had issues with Coldby not taking responsibility for his actions—and Colby, who was eager to get married, had issues with her hedging on whether she was ready for such a huge commitment. Madlyn found she had great chemistry with Randall Griffin and that Colby and April kissed, which only upped the tension for these two. “I think the love that me and Colby have for each other was, I mean, maybe like a tenth of a hundredth of a percent was shown,” Madlyn admitted to Women’s Health. She added that she and Colby went into the process with their eyes open and that they discussed everything relatively openly and honestly before and throughout the series, but that none of it made it past the editing room floor. “That’s what we went into the show [and] this experience with an understanding of what we were doing in agreement,” she explained. “It was expected that he would kiss April, that I would kiss Randall, that we would fully explore these relationships.” Are Madlyn and Colby still together? The Ultimatum Spoilers: Are Lauren and Nate still together?
Lauren Pounds and Nate Ruggles were together for about two years when Nate gave Lauren an ultimatum—he wanted to get married, but they didn’t see eye to eye on whether they wanted children; Lauren worried she’d be left alone to raise their kids while Nate worked and traveled. She actually looked to Colby Kissinger briefly to see if he could fulfill that need for her, but Colby only had eyes for Madlyn — for the most part. Colby chose Lauren in the “choice ceremony,” and that shook Nate enough to propose to Lauren on the spot! The rest of the cast called the couple out for seemingly not having their hearts in it, and those messages may have stung: Lauren accepted Nate’s proposal but didn’t return for a bachelorette party like Alexis did (and she didn’t even show up to celebrate with Alexis and the rest of the ladies at Alexis’ soiree). Lauren later told TODAY, “[The proposal] was super unexpected. I had told him not to. I was like, ‘Don’t do that. You’re going to get in trouble. Shanique Imari and Randall Griffin had issues over her allegedly not getting ready on time for dates, and she wasn’t thrilled with Randall’s connection with Madlyn and his inability to speak openly about his feelings. Shanique wanted to make it work with Randall and needed to know if he was 100% ready. When they discussed it over dinner, Randall didn’t answer the question directly, but admitted he didn’t want to get down on one knee if he wasn’t completely sure of it. In a confessional, Shanique said it was “insulting,” and she told Randall that they each had “a lot to think about” moving forward. Are Shanique and Randall still together? It looks like these two stuck it out — at least as far as their Venmo transactions indicate. The Ultimatum Spoilers: Are Rae and Zay still together?
Rae Williams and Zay Wilson’s relationship was so toxic that Rae committed an act of domestic violence against Zay, punching him after he stayed out all night partying without texting her. Rae told Zay that while she wanted to stay together, she didn’t think he was ready for an engagement if he was willing to go out all night without checking in with her — and she broke off their relationship. Though they obviously had their problems, the split was heartbreaking to watch, with Zay begging Rae to stay even after she swung at him. “When he didn’t come home, I immediately knew, ‘This is not the man for me,’” Rae told Insider. “To do that in privacy would’ve been awful. To do that in the situation that we were in, with all that was going on—he just should have came home.” She also alleged that Zay shoved her, which neither of them mentioned on the show—nor was it shown there (but neither was the punch). “I’m very upset about that,” she told Insider. “I’m not proud of my behavior. I regret us shoving each other. I regret putting my hands on him. I punched him in the shoulder, and it didn’t leave a mark or anything. It didn’t injure him like that, but I shouldn’t have done it. Nobody should ever put their hands on someone else.” For his part, Zay wrote in an Instagram Story not “judge anyone based on one season.” Are Rae and Zay still together? No. After breaking it off in Episode 8, it appears they’ve both moved on from one another for good — and Rae ran off with Jake during the finale, but it appears they’re both still single as of now.
