The 33-year-old actress shared a photo via Instagram on Aug. 31 that featured her and her two friends, fellow actress and writer Jessamine-Bliss Bell and musician GG Magree, as they posed poolside. Pretty in pink, the celebrities’ style is a nod to a new trend called “Barbiecore,” which is best described as dressing in a monochromatic wardrobe inspired by the classic Mattel doll–known for its loyalty to various shades of pink, over-the-top embezzlements, dedication to dazzle, and most importantly, self-confidence. Hudgens displayed all of the above and more in her post, which she captioned: “Bad Barbie’s.” “The baddest,” Magree replied. In the photo, Hudgens could be seen donning a pair of rose-colored glasses, a mini floral silk dress, and platform flip flops as she embraced her pals and smirked for the camera. Her look was complimented by her besties’ all-pink swimwear and the lush greenery of their outdoor space. Friends and fans quickly headed to the comments to applaud the three’s new look. Actress Sarah Hyland earned the title of their number one fan with her comment: “MY BABIES!!!!!!😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥” Privileged star Ashley Newbrough also gushed over the trio, “😍 Charlie’s angels.” Fans also picked up on the similarities between Barbiecore and Hudgens’ previous aesthetic circa the early 2000s–and they were here for it. “Disney Channel Vibes🔥,” one cheered. Vanessa, sweetie, pink is definitely your color. More Pop Culture:
