The new snap, which was shared on the 34-year-old’s Instagram on Dec. 13, had Internet users doing a double-take as the High School Musical alum flaunted a whole new look. Wearing a patent leather blazer, a chunky gold collar necklace, and minimal makeup—aside from some eyeliner and a warm and spicy lip color—The Knight Before Christmas actress committed to the bold introduction. “Who even is she,” Hudgens teased in the caption—and rightfully so because the star looked barely recognizable as she debuted her bleach-blonde hair and lightened eyebrows. Hudgens rocked thick and long dark hair for years, and while this makeover has certainly shocked fans, they’ve remained pretty supportive of the change! “The browwwsssaaahhhssss 🔥🔥,” gushed one Instagram user about Hudgens’ bleached brows–a trend seen on the likes of Madonna and, more recently, Kendall Jenner, Kim Kardashian, and Julia Fox. “OBSESSEDDDDDDD,” exclaimed celebrity makeup artist Tanya Brewer. Artist and choreographer Bobby Newberry declared, “It’s giving!!!” Photographer Vince Rossi joked that the star’s new look bore an uncanny resemblance to that of another Hollywood icon, Lady Gaga, writing, “Haus of Hudgens,” before a few other fans chimed agreed. “I thought she was Gaga at first 😂,” wrote one, “me too,” replied another. Another explained that this moment was a dream come true for their childhood self, “When your obsession as a teen was Vanessa hudgens [sic] and Lady Gaga, and now Vanessa decided to dress up as Lady Gaga.” Some even got ultra-specific with their comments, saying that Hudgens’ new look reminded them of outfits worn by Lady Gaga during her cameo on American Horror Story and from her most recent tour. Among the comments were remarks like “It’s giving Gaga in AHS Hotel” and “Chromatica Ball.” Now, all we need is for Lady Gaga to respond—here’s hoping!
