Who’s in the cast of Wynonna Earp season 4?

Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp)

The titular character of the series, she’s the great-great-grandaughter of Wyatt Earp and the current Heir. Her elder sister, Willa, had been trained her whole life to take over as The Heir. After she died, an untrained Wynonna took over the mantel. She and Doc Holliday have an on-again-off-again relationship. She gives birth to their daughter, Alice Michelle, at the end of season 2. The baby is smuggled away from Purgatory and the Ghost River Triangle for her own protection. Fun Fact: Scrofano found out she was pregnant not long after the show was picked up for a second season. The producers decided to write in her pregnancy instead of trying to conceal it during filming. The cast and crew did hide the pregnancy from fans and the media so it was a surprise to the audience when it was revealed. Scrofano gave birth to a son two days after filming for season 2 wrapped.

Tim Rozon (Doc Holliday)

Doc Holliday was Wyatt Earp’s partner and right-hand man and now he’s Wynonna’s. He was cursed by a witch who cured his tuberculosis by giving him eternal health. He was left at the bottom of a well for a hundred years and he’s Wynonna’s baby daddy. It’s revealed he has a wife, The Contessa (Chantel Riley), who happens to be a vampire. Doc asks her to make him a vampire so that he can continue to protect Wynonna and their daughter.

Dominique Provost-Chalkley (Waverly Earp)

Waverly is Wynonna’s younger half-sister. She is an expert historian on all things Earp and is dating Officer Haught. Her father is an angel named Julian who is later revealed to also be Charlie, Wynonna’s ex-boyfriend. Julian was one of two angels guarding the Garden of Eden. He died saving Waverly.

Katherine Barrell (Officer Nicole Haught)

Nicole Haught is a deputy sheriff in Purgatory who becomes Waverly’s girlfriend and has collaborated with Black Badge Division (BBD), a covert sector of the U.S. Marshals located in Purgatory. Waverly proposed to Nicole last season but they were interrupted before she could respond. She becomes Sheriff when Randy Nedley (Greg Lawson) retires. Fun Fact:Barrell is also part of the cast of Good Witch. She plays Joy Harper, a cousin to Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell) and Abigail Pershing (Sarah Power).

Varun Saranga (Jeremy Chetri)

Jeremy is a former Black Badge lab technician and easily the comic relief of the show. He’s socially awkward, super smart and has zingy one-liners. He’s also one of the few characters on the show that is completely human.

Megan Follows (Michelle Gibson Earp)

Michelle Earp is the mother to Wynonna, Willa and Waverly. She is currently incarcerated though Wynonna visits her in prison. Fun fact:Actress Megan Follows is currently best known for her role as Catherine de’ Medici on Reign, but did you know she played Anne of Green Gables as a child? Fellows also has directed episodes of Reign, When Hope Calls and Heartland. Another fun fact: Her character is named after Emily Andras’ best friends—both named Michelle. One of them is Michelle Lovretta, the creator of Killjoys and Lost Girl.

Chantel Riley (The Contessa/Kate)

Mary Katherine Horony-Cummings is a vampire, tarot card reader and also Doc Holliday’s wife. The real-life Horony-Cummings actually was Doc Holliday’s common law wife; she was a Hungarian prostitute and was also known as Big Nose Kate.

Greg Lawson (Randy Nedley)

Nedley is the former sheriff of Purgatory and even though he’s retired, he’s sure at the office a lot. At the end of season 3, Wynonna returned to Purgatory to find she and Nedley the only occupants in town.

Jean Marchand (Bulshar Clootie)

Clootie is a demon who was once sheriff of Purgatory. He puts a curse on Wyatt Earp after Earp killed his two sons. He is defeated by Doc Holliday and Jeremy at the end of season 3, finally breaking the curse.

Shamier Anderson (Xavier Dolls)

Dolls is a Black Badge Deputy Marshal. He is akin to a mutant in other comic book universes. His human DNA was modified with that of a dragon (or dragon-like creature), and he can breathe fire. He sacrifices himself to save Wynonna and others in the beginning of the third season.

What’s happening in season 4?

Now that the Earp Curse has been broken, you’d think it would the perfect time for Wynonna and the gang to sit back and relax at Shorty’s. Unfortunately, there’s always someone or something to fight and a town to keep safe. At the beginning of season 4, Wynonna is now a Guardian of the Garden of Eden and she’s trying to find a way to get Waverly and Doc out of there before her sister is trapped in the garden forever. When she returned to Purgatory, she and Randy Nedley were the only ones left in town. The others seemingly disappeared and the name “Valdez” was scrawled on a wall in Wynonna’s home. Last season, Doc was able to sneak into the Garden to try to save Waverly but now the two are stuck there and must lean on one another to keep each other sane. In the season premiere, titled “On the Road Again,” we find out who scrawled the name “Valdez” on the wall of Wynonna’s home and where everyone went while she was trying to save Waverly.
